Thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) control the temperature in each room by opening and closing based on the room temperature. When they work, they're brilliant, each room stays at the temperature you set, and you save energy. When they fail, rooms overheat or stay cold, and you've got no control. The most common faults are stuck pins (the valve won't open or close), failed thermostats (the sensor is broken), or seized valve bodies that leak Common across Sheffield, from Hillsborough to City Centre.
We repair or replace faulty TRVs every week across Sheffield. Often the valve body is fine and just the thermostatic head needs replacing, a 30-minute job. Sometimes the whole valve has seized and needs replacing. We carry common TRV heads and valves on the van so most jobs are done on the first visit.
All TRV repairs and replacements come with a 12-month guarantee. We'll test the valve fully to make sure it's controlling temperature properly before we leave.
